A head on collision between two heavy vehicles has today claimed the lives of several people aboard all these two trucks along the Kampala Masaka highway. This gruesome accident happened between a trailer and a FUSO truck locally known as Maggulu kumi.
The accident happened around Buwama enroute to Masaka. Sources indicate that nobody in both vehicles survived this accident. The accident happened at round 9am today Saturday 3rd august. Apparently there is heavy traffic as security tries to clear the situation along the road.
The cause of this accident on the Kampala Masaka Highway, the number of people aboard and other things currently are still unclear as Police are doing more investigations to ascertain the cause and damage. It’s still a developing story and we shall keep you updated.

However, such fatal accidents along the different highways in Uganda are ot a new phenomenon. Lots of lives have been claimed in the past. The Police have usually attributed these accidents to reckless driving attributed to a lot of factors such as drunk drivers, fatigue among others.
